these city posts are becoming more and more spread apart and farther from the date i went. there’s just so much to share in between! and honestly, i feel that i keep revisiting this day for so many reasons. i loved the company, i missed my city so much, and i found myself in a whole new way where i could appreciate nyc with just myself.
along our journey walking around Lisbeth and I stumbled upon the coolest store ever. i mean it. we both plan to design everything surrounding our children (and our children, themselves) around the clothes, decorations, bedding, and even mama clothes that are around.
Marimekko had crazy colors, prints, and a certain modernity and positivity that came along with it. we chose to ignore the clearly-out-of-reach prices for our lifestyles right now (hahahah) and enjoyed everything…really. everything
any shape and color you could think of!
printed patterns to create your own masterpieces…ahhhhhh!!!
my future children will be wearing all of these outfits…thank you very much!
after our adventure of shopping and cringing and all the things we wanted but couldn’t have just yet..we moved onto another favorite past-time. eating. madison square eats was going on (the last day is tomorrow so get there before it’s over!!) and they had all kinds of food, drink, etc. and the atmosphere was just overall so “new york.” we got some awesome sangria and hot dogs and marveled/tried things at the other stands. it was really, too good to be true.
my first chicken hot dog!!!!
so many people…of all different “breeds” …another reason why i love you and miss you so much..hope to see you soon.
so this wraps up my most recent and first time back in my city after a commitment to my “self” and it obviously went more than well. ending this post is somewhat bittersweet but i look forward to coming back, very soon.
love you, mean it
ananda
p.s. have you guys seen these??!! i read/see that now in the city the bikes are actually there now but apparently these things are located all around the city for fees that work similarly to metro cards for people to just overall get around the city- for work, school, meetings, etc. from my understanding, it’s mostly for those belonging to the city and it’s an attempt to becoming more “green” i think it’s super innovative and awesome. i wonder how successful it’ll be and i look forward to hopefully seeing a few businessmen riding down 42nd to get to work. haha. we’ll see.
